One of my common cures for writer's block is to lounge in front of the television with an instrument until some phrase or melody from the tube sparks something. In this case, "King of the Hill" and Lucky (voiced by the ever-brilliant Tom Petty), who wryly intones "sometimes the world is cruel to shiny things," inexplicably started me strumming this Santana-esque salsa.
